Old Town Chinatown
Portland, OR 97209
We can provide Old Town Chinatown businesses - which might have meetings over the breakfast or lunch hour - with quality choices that are hard to find in the neighborhood. We pride ourselves on local exceptional partners: Water Avenue Coffee, Grand Central Bakery, Fleur de Lis, Petunia’s, Tanglewood, Holy Kakow, and Steven Smith Teas.
Our menu is located on our website, and while most items are ordered a la carte, we can provide many items family style.
Our cafe is small, so we can successfully accommodate orders under 20 people. Please order by 9am the day before delivery for orders under 8 people. Orders over 8 people, please order a minimum of 48 hours in advance of delivery, so that we can coordinate items with our partners.
Delivery hours are 8am-2pm. Orders are also available for pick-up.
Deposits for reusable platers, coffee carafes, etc. may apply
Our team is small, but mighty. Because of our size, we are able to cater directly to the customer, through excellent service, consistency, and quality. We take the time to get to know our regular customers, and look forward to becoming true community members. The team is passionate about becoming an integrated part of the Old Town neighborhood.
Jenny Jenkins - Owner/mom/multi-tasker
Jenny's dream to own her own business didn't come without a lot of research, anxious nights, and family discussions. The opportunity to open this location in Old Town while she was working on the new building the cafe is located. As an architect for 20 years, the design team insisted a coffee bar in the lobby of the mixed-use building would be a perfect addition to the overall story of a new mixed-use building coming into the neighborhood. Knowing the developer/landlord, and being intimate with the building design, it was an opportunity too amazing to pass up. Fast forward a few months with Jenny attending coffee industry business school (locally!), and getting a coffee bar built out, all while continuing her 'day job' as an architect. The mother of two young boys, Jenny also enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors, wine tasting, & being about as sarcastic as you can get.
Emily - cafe ManageR/rockstar
Emily has been working in the coffee and restaurant industry for over 10 years, primarily in San Francisco, CA. New’ish’ to Portland, she’s looking forward to exploring the city (and inevitably getting lost), tasting her way through the multitude of coffee shops, and hiking as many local trails as possible—all when she’s not behind the scenes of Even Keel working excitedly to build partnerships and serve quality products to the neighborhood.
Will - Barista/musician
Originally from London, England, Will recently moved to the US with his lovely wife, Al. A musician by trade, he is also passionate about speciality coffee and trained as a barista at the London School of Coffee. He loves Japan, Tolkien, classical poetry, and slide guitar. His favorite drink is a well extracted Americano!
David - barista/graphic designer
David has been an integral part of the team as a fantastic barista, but also helps with some of our social media. He's also an awesome graphic designer and illustrator. You may even see him at one of Portland's many music venues as he loves to catch as many live shows as possible.
Team building is our middle name - from Top Golf, to wine tasting in the Willamette Valley and recently ping pong at Pips & Bounce, we try and get together a few times a year to reward the team’s hard work and commitment!
